Riverside Christian School has been in the process of acquiring two portable classrooms over the last couple years. It took some time to deal with city approval, utility issues and then having the portables brought in from Alberta. They are now here and the estimated cost of completing the hookups and required modifications is $100,000.
Our goal is to raise this amount over the next few months either in donations or commitments.
Our plan is to have these units completed before the next school year starts in September. Completion of these portable classrooms of 3,300 square feet will add three large classrooms and a multipurpose room to our school and give us space to grow for years to come.
The following is a summary of the finances for this project:
Total Cost $475,000
Fund raising to date $225,000 (Including donations, capital reserves and a Man-Sask Conference grant of $25,000)
Revolving fund loan $150,000
Fund raising campaign $100,000 (To date we have raised over $10,000 towards this goal)
Any funds raised in excess of what is required to complete the project will be used to pay down the revolving fund loan.
